Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to use a localization system in a production hall. The object of localization is foundry tools, which are produced in Škoda Auto a.s. in Mladá Boleslav. Within the scope of the thesis, firstly, a research was carried out in the field of technologies that meet the defined requirements resulting from the functioning in the production hall. Ultra-Wide Band technology achieved the most suitable parameters among the technologies investigated. In order to verify the characteristics of the selected technology, hardware components based on the Ultra-Wide Band module were borrowed, specific experiments were designed and appropriate software was developed to collect, store and process the location data. The experiments mainly focused on verifying the accuracy under different conditions. The experiments also included the development of programs for statistical evaluation of the data. Finally, a functional test was performed in the production hall.
