Abstract
The multifunctional student house project is part of a dormitory complex in the city of Split, Croatia. The proposed facility combines several functions, including a canteen, study spaces and a sports hall. The proposal is a continuation of the pre-diploma project dealing with the developing area of Kopilica. A characteristic element of the concept is the orthogonal modular arrangement, as a reaction to the surrounding buildings. The student house project is based on the same concept and develops it in more detail. Orthogonality and modularity are strongly reflected in the solution of the ground floor, which offers a multifunctional platform for sports, dialogue and relaxation. At the same time, the building connects two parallel streets that have different heights and character.
